There are four carriage bolts that secure the back of the deck to the hull. You’ll need to grind these from the outside of the boat. You can’t get at the nuts on the inside because they are covered with the strip of glass that attaches deck to hull. Even if you could, it would simply spin the carriage bolt instead of loosening. BE CAREFUL not to damage the fiberglass on the outside of the deck shoebox joint – just grind the bolt head – not the fiberglass.
